Chicken Chili Sausage

 

 

The popularity of chicken sausages is growing in India. It is easy to cook because part of it is pre-cooked. Sometimes it is made with chicken 'keema' or minced chicken. The easiest way to cook sausages is to saute it lightly with a tablespoon full of oil. For the above recipe you can buy any brand of chicken sausage of your choice. For marinating the sausages, you will need some spices and yogurt. If you like salad veggies, it does go well with the fried sausages. Even you can stuff your plain egg omelets with the fried sausages – it tastes superb!! In no time your dish is readyJ.  Hurry, and give it a try.

Serves: 3 to 4

Preparation Time: 20 min.

Ingredients: 12oz pack chicken sausage; 1tsp red chili powder; 1 tsp paprika powder; 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin powder; 2 inch ginger grated, 5 pods garlic grated, 2 tsp full fat yogurt; salt for taste; oil for frying; fresh black pepper powder; salad veggies of your choice.

I used this brand of sausage.

          

Method:

1)Cut the sausages in small round pieces.

2)Mix it with paprika, chili, coriander, cumin powders; grated ginger & garlic; salt and yogurt. Prick the sausages with a fork and allow to marinate overnight (for almost eight hours) in the refrigerator.

3)Heat oil and in low heat fry the marinated sausages till lightly dark in color. Transfer to a serving dish.

 

4) Sprinkle pepper powder and squeeze lime. Serve the fried chili sausages with fresh chopped salad veggies.
